EyeSpecial camera by SHOFU

EGP Equipment Guide

Digital photography plays a crucial role in documenting treatment planning. With the right camera, team members can educate their patients and increase case acceptance. The EyeSpecial camera by SHOFU enables staff to take impressive images for case documentation, diagnosis, treatment planning, patient education and lab communication. This user-friendly digital camera has eight pre-programmed shooting modes tailored specifically to dental professionals, making it easy for clinicians and their team members to work efficiently and consistently and earning it the 2019 Cellerant Best of Class Technology award for the 5th consecutive year.

The EyeSpecial automatically sets the appropriate f-stop, aperture and focal length and offers intuitive, one-touch operation, even for clinicians wearing gloves. In addition, the camera demonstrates exceptional depth-of-field, fast autofocusing, and anti-shake and anti-reflection attributes, enabling clinicians to achieve predictable and consistent clinical photographs.

The EyeSpecial’s ultra-lightweight body can be held in one hand, which means only one team member is needed to achieve mirror images! The operator selects the button corresponding to Mirror Mode, holds the camera in one hand and the mirror in the other, and captures the image; this mode then inverts the picture to the correct relation. Another unique EyeSpecial feature is Isolate Shade Mode, which grays out soft tissue for optimal shade matching. By combining the photos from any of the eight shooting modes with a draw/edit function, the camera allows clinicians to make notes directly on the images, allowing them to discuss treatment evaluation, patient progress and/or challenges and communicate with the lab.

The ultra-lightweight EyeSpecial is water- and chemical-resistant and can be easily cleaned with a disinfectant wipe to ensure optimal infection control in the office. It is HIPAA compliant, with the ability to program the patient identification number on the images. The easy-to-learn, easy-to-use EyeSpecial will capture consistent quality images every time.

With the EyeSpecial, the entire dental team can engage in clinical photography, and the visually aided patient consultation will increase patient treatment acceptance.
